Newbie here! Really like this site and it helps me stay accountable. I've got about 26 pounds to lose. I'm a stocky Michigan girl and have never been "skinny" and never will be, I've accepted that. I look sexy with SOME curves anyway!!! :) I think my metabolism has slowed majorly due to years of crash dieting. I'm in the Army, and there are standards I have to make. Contrary to popular belief, I'm in one of those jobs that you are expected to exercise on your own. (work in an Army hospital) Soooo, needless to say, I don't until a month or so before my physical fitness test twice a year. I've got two years left until I retire, and really want to make exercise and eating right a habit rather than a quick means to an end, because if I don't, the minute I hit that retirement date I know I'll swell up like a balloon!

I love love love food and am a carb junkie, so dieting has always been difficult. But, this isn't a diet, it's a new way of LIFE!!!!

I'm so glad I found this site and all the people on it!
