Ever since I started my diet I've had constant headaches and I get light headed! What could be causing this?? I feel like I'm doing everything right. I eat enough calories, my diet is well rounded and wholesome, I'm drinking water... It seems like every time I start dieting I get headaches like crazy!

What's your "diet" like compared to normal eating?

I know when I cut back on my caffeine-beverages just cold I don't feel so well I need my caffeine, something else I'm working on, but if you're used to a certain amount of carbs / protein and suddenly changing it you're body may be after something it's used to. Have a look.

I get it to. I think its just your body going through withdraw. When its used to things like caffeine or sugar and then you cut back on them cold turkey it gets mad. lol

My biggest thing is caffeine. I quit drinking soda (even diet). I mostly drink water, but I'll have a week or so that I drink a lot of tea or coffee, then when I stop i get a constant headache for weeks. But it eventually goes away.

You know, it could be caffeine. I didn't think about that. I usually drink coffee but I switched to green tea this week to cut back on the cream/sugar calories. I thought the tea would replace the caffeine. As far as my diet goes, I normally am horrible about sweets! I eat way too much sugary stuff like ice cream, cookies... crap like that. Now I am eating balanced meals and clean eating. No added sugar. I would think that would be good though... I don't know why I am getting such awful headaches! It could be withdraws though!

Caffeine withdrawls are TERRIBLE! For an entire month after I cut out caffeine (mine was Coke and Mello Yello all day long) I had severe headaches on a daily basis. I kept the Goody's Powders business in business...but once that addictionw as broken, the headaches went away.

Sugar also can do this kind of thing to people, so if you used to eat a lot of sweets or cakes, then sugar withdrawls could cause it as well. Or chocolate...that stuff has BOTH caffeine and sugar...

And make sure that you are drinking A LOT of water. A lot of people starting new programs are drinking water, but maybe not enough, and this can also cause headaches.

At any rate, I hope you feel better!!!
