I'm currently reading/following a book called "The 4-hr Body" by Timothy Ferriss. He introduces a "slow carb" diet in the book for losing weight and claims by following 5 simple rules you can lose 20lbs in 30days. Although the diet seems extreme, it is the only diet I have ever been able to follow and not being hungry and craving forbidden foods. The book also has many other tips for gaining muscle, increasing strength, improving running distance, sex life, etc. I've been on the diet for a week and half now and have lost 7lbs (without exercising at all, I haven't exercised in 3 years!) The diet allows a "cheat" day every week, and the cheat day allows me to eat whatever I want and although I gained about 1lb following that day, by the next day I lost that 1lb and more!. I highly recommend this book. You can get in on the kindle app for like $9 or the hardcover book on amazon for like $15. The author seems a little crazy in the book with all his experiements and what not, but give something he says a shot and you will be amazed! I still am!
