Not Sure If This is Good or Not

So last night I put in all my info. MFP says that I consumed 2000 calories, but due to my cardio workout, I gained 1000 back. Ended up basically leaving 1200 calories on the table.

Today's not over, and I went to lunch with some friends, although in my opinion I didn't eat bad, I still have one meal left for the day and I only have 500 calories left for the day. I wonder if I can apply it to yesterday's leftover total.

I know, and I've even said it, this is a tool to help, not a Bible, but still. And today is my recovery day from the gym. Looks like I'll be hitting it Saturday for a little road/rope work.

I look at it by the week if that helps. I go with the average. Some days I eat more and others less. :)

Hey I think that is fine every now and again, if you know you were a lot under to be a little over another day as long as it balances out over the week :)

Yea as of yesterday, I was at 51% at what I needed to burn for the week. Which I know tomorrow night I won't have the same burn as I did last night due to the workout set up. Friday I should be close to what I had on Monday. Saturday might just be a good hour long date with the treadmill.

500 isnt a lot i wouldnt really bank calories from another day BUT I dont see any harm in increasing your calories 300 or so just to get through the day and not be miserable

You cannot carry balances from one day to the next. Each day is completely its own.

In saying this however, I do like to "calorie shift" myself, getting in different amounts of calories day-to-day as this has helped me since my body is always "guessing" and doesn't get used to what Im doing.

We will all have lunches, and occasions, where we may have too many calories in a day. Don't sweat it at all, just do a bit extra activity later that day.

See that's it.. I was about to starve to death before lunch. Now I'm fine. I didn't over eat like I used to. I think I'm gonna be alright. I know I still got bad habits, it's just going to take some time to break them.

If you end up way short on a given day, there's no problem making it up later, within a couple days if possible. If you don't, also no big deal. Just stay around your goal most of the time, and you're good to go.
