Whatever the site tells you when you put your information in. You can select that you won't be doing any exercise and it will give you your calorie goal.0

Because you have a family you SHOULD be exercising. Setting a good example for your family.
Just saying.
Don't go below 1200 calories.0 -
When setting up your goal MFP ignores your exercise goal, so whatever calories they give you is to lose weight without exercise. When you do exercise you get to eat extra calories to lose the same amount of weight.0

Yes, go with what the site tells you as you fill in all their questions. They already take into account what you would burn without exercise, that being your basal metabolic rate (the calories you burn living and breathing).
I would say that exercise and diet really go hand in hand, and you will have much greater results and greater satisfaction if you find some form of exercise to do. It does not need to involve a gym. Be creative, you're a mom, I know you can come up with something - LOL! For instance, anytime and everytime, walk, it does not matter where youare at, you can walk, and walk fast. When I am at bball practice, I walk the gym, all around the courts, I look stupid, but it burns more calories than sitting. While you are cooking at the stove, jump up and down, grab a heavy can of soup or something and do some triceps with it. Lean on the counter and do some "push ups". When you go up and down stairs, do it fast and with heart. Or choose to use stairs whereever you go. Small changes will help you. Park way far in the parking lot! I have a very busy family, too, and I count myself as the "momager" around here, having to pick kids up from this or that, etc, but I give myself 45 mins a day for ME!!!! I pencil in my calendar and go down the basement and I do some form of exercise, either a DVD, ride the bike, jump on the mini trampoline, but the kids know it is my time. Wake up 45 mins early to accomplish this if you have to.
Best of luck on your journey!0 -
I stick to the calorie intake suggested by MFP. I add in exercise when possible, but it's not an everyday thing. It can be done!0
