Summer's on the way and so are several new items to swallow. But be careful, because some of these foods are freakishly high in calories and fat. Check it out...

Baskin-Robbins York Peppermint Pattie Brownie Sundae

PER SERVING (1 sundae): 1,610 calories, 80g fat, 740mg sodium, 222g carbs, 3g fiber, 183g sugars, 16g protein -- POINTS® value 38*

We expect ridiculous nutritionals from lots of the crazy candy and cookie concoctions over at BR. For example, the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Sundae has 1,250 calories and 81g fat (POINTS® value 31*), the Oreo Sundae has 1,330 calories and 61g fat (POINTS® value 31*), and the Heath Sundae has 1,050 calories and 50g fat (POINTS® value 25*). But the fact that this simple chocolate mint sundae has the MOST alarming stats of all really sent us over the edge! Perhaps it's the layers of hot fudge and brownies (not to mention the three scoops of ice cream and more) that did this one in. People, this thing has more calories than SIX regular hamburgers from McDonald's and more fat than EIGHT of 'em!!! Skip this wacky sundae (and all those others as well!). And should you find yourself stranded at a Baskin-Robbins this summer (or just really craving some hand-scooped stuff), stick to the "Lighter Side" selections ( http://www.baskinrobbins.com/IceCream/lighterside.aspx )

Jamba Juice Chunky Strawberry Smoothie

PER SERVING (12 oz.): 450 calories, 14g fat, 130mg sodium, 68g carbs, 7g fiber, 41g sugars, 14g protein -- POINTS® value 9*

The stats on this new smoothie may not seem all that outrageous, especially compared to the other summer shockers we sniffed out. But keep in mind, these nutritionals are for a small-sized fruit-based beverage! The 16-ouncer will set you back 570 calories and 17g fat (POINTS® value 12*). FYI, gobs of peanut butter and a blend-in of granola are what send this smoothie into the danger zone. To be fair, this thing is billed as a "Breakfast Meal". But we'd much rather EAT things for that many calories! So resist the urge to order one of these fat-infused sippers, unless you're prepared to spend a meal's worth of calories on it. And if your heart's set on a treat at JJ this summer, order a Jamba Light instead.

Burger King Steakhouse Burger

PER SERVING (1 burger): 950 calories, 59g fat, 1,950mg sodium, 55g carbs, 4g fiber, 12g sugars, 40g protein -- POINTS® value 23*

Could this single-patty fast-food burger really have calories nearing quadruple digits?!? Yup -- scary, but true. BK's new meat sandwich is a complete fat-tastrophe. The thing itself has more calories and fat grams than a Whopper with a small order of fries. It even has more fat and calories than a Double Whopper! Skip all that kooky stuff, and read our mini Burger King survival guide ( http://dailywd.womansday.com/blog/2007/06/breaking_chews__11.html ) from last summer before setting foot in a BK this time around.

Chili's White Chocolate Molten Cake

PER SERVING (1 serving): 1,430 calories, 74g fat, 530mg sodium, 166g carbs, 1g fiber, sugars n.a., 16g protein -- POINTS® value 35*

In a perfect world, the new white version of the classic (and calorie-packed) Molten Cake at Chili's would be a better bet than the original. After all, white cake seems like it just has to be lighter and better for you than chocolate cake (um, okay, maybe not!). But hold on to your dessert spoons, people. The White Chocolate Molten Cake actually contains 160 MORE calories and TWELVE additional grams of fat compared to the original one! Even if you split this dessert with three pals, you'd still be swallowing more than 350 calories and over 18g fat (POINTS® value 9*). For a few spoonfuls?!? Skip it. Instead, head home and whip up HG's insanely good Mini Microwave Triple Chocolate Cake. You can eat the whole thing for just 123 calories and 1g fat (POINTS® value 2*). Sweet! ( http://www.hungry-girl.com/week/weeklydetails.php?isid=1351 )

Krispy Kreme Oranges & Kreme Chiller

PER SERVING (12 oz.): 630 calories, 28g fat, 220mg sodium, 92g carbs, <1g fiber, 71g sugars, 3g protein -- POINTS® value 15*

This fruity Chiller may not be brand-new, but it's new to us. We were actually somewhat impressed when we stumbled upon the stats on KK's Orange You Glad Chiller. A 12-oz. one without whipped cream has 180 fat-free calories (POINTS® value 4*) -- not awful for a slushy beverage from a donut shop. But then we realized how easy it is to confuse the two frosty orange treats, and we FREAKED! Order a 12-oz. Oranges & Kreme one by mistake, and you'll add 450 calories and 28 fat grams to your summer slurper! And that's just for the small one. The 20-oz. Oranges & Kreme Chiller has an alarming 970 calories and 40g fat (POINTS® value 23*). Ahhhh!!! So make sure you order VERY carefully if you want a citrus sipper that's not loaded with fat and too, TOO many calories.

Darn, and I really wanted to try that Chilis molten whatever cake....

I think Tim was onto something awhile back.....like isn't there a calorie overload limit where you body just stops processing calories???? So, maybe if you're going to enjoy one, go ahead and get the month's supply out of the way?
