New to MFP

Hi!!
I've been on MFP for about a week now. Still trying to learn my way around the site. But it has definitely been very helpful in terms of making me take a real hard look at what I'm eating in terms of portion size, calories and fat. Today, I even counted the number of popcorn shrimp I had with my lunch, and used cocktail sauce instead of mayo (tartar sauce) for less than half the calories!!!
It is nice to see the comraderie and encouragement here. This may be just what I need to help me stick with it this time. I'm especially looking for food and fitness tips. My eating habits and food selections need help, and after living a sedentary lifestyle for so long, I'm having difficulty getting moving again. But I am encouraged!!

Hey Charlene....looks like you are really doing good working hard to change your eating habits...remember I'm around if you need any help with the exercise portion! I will be following up with you in the next 1 - 2 weeks regarding fitness....Keep up the great work! and make sure you are getting all the nutrients you need!0
