I usually notice if I do not go to the gym I do not lose any weight that day....But everybody is different so it may work.0

Many people on this site have lost weight without regular exercise - It's primarily calories in vs calories out. If you eat less than you burn, you'll lose weight. Although you need exercise to really be healthy, you can lose weight without exercise, though it's not really recommended! Trust me - you'll feel much better all around when you start engaging in regular physical activity.0

I'm sure it can be done without exercising, but it all depends on how (bad) your diet was before you started counting calories. Eventually, you will probably end up having to pick up some sort of activity, even if it is just walking. As you may know, exercising increases your metabolism allowing you to burn more calories even when you aren't moving.0

I asked the same question, I keep saying "I'll do it tomorrow". Basically, the answers I received, were "yes, but in order to be fit you need to exercise". Unfortunately, i have not taken that adivse yet. But, I plan to0

Yes, calories in and calories out, that’s the bottom line. I don't exercise much, but eating less works fine. But this is easier for guys, because their BMR is higher than for women.0

Hello and Yes in the past I have definitely lost weight without exercise by restricting my calorie intake. This time around though, I'm trying to exercise a lot and I feel much better in general. My legs and arms are way more toned and look even better the more fat that comes off :-) I can see muscle !!!0

I've lost 20lbs, and have not gone to the gym yet.. As long as you stay within your calories, there's enough of a deficit to keep you losing weight slowly. You just won't gain any muscle, or tone if you don't go.0

Its not that i don't work out at all because i do. I started running in October and have been running sense, i just took a break for the past 2 weeks. But i def plan on getting back to it, i was just curious0

I lost my first 15 pounds without exercise. It depends how much you have to lose. I had to lose about 40. So when I started eating right I noticed results immediately but after that, I needed to exercise to lose the last 25
Good luck!0
