"naked" vs. "clothes-on" weight.

Lately I've been reading the forums and noticed that almost everyone seemed to take the morning naked weight into account. See when I weight myself I have clothes on and its usually in the afternoon. So this past Tuesday, I tried weighing myself naked for the first time and with clothes on in the evening. There was a two pounds different. So, are we really supposed to use the naked weight and only the morning weight to determine how much we weigh?

    I would say that naked is the most accurate, because clothes can vary in weight. I think first thing in the morning is also the most accurate because your days will vary. If u just drank a whole bunch of water and then weigh yourself, you'll weigh more obviously, so first thing in the morning u haven't had anything to eat or drink. That is when I weigh myself :)

    That's what I do. You supposedly weigh less in the morning so I'll take any advantage I can get. :bigsmile:

    Basically the idea is that first thing in the morning, you wake up and go to the bathroom. Strip, and step on the scale. Since your system is about as cleaned out as it will get for the day, and you have no extra clothes, it'll give you the best approximation of your weight. Honestly it doesn't really matter when you weigh in, or if you're dressed or not - what matters is that you maintain consistant every time you weigh in (same time of day, etc).

    I weigh myself first thing in the morning and naked. That way every thing is the same. My clothes weigh anywhere from 2- 4 pounds. I would say as long as you are consistent.
