Good Morning! How is everyone doing?
Vivia -- how are you feeling today? And Mechanicmom...are you over your cold yet?
I'm off to the gym, then have two dates! Sheesh. I'm glad I'm between jobs -- this internet dating thing could be a full-time thing in and of itself.
Yesterday:
~ Went to yoga -- great class!
~ 35 minutes on elliptical (I was aiming to burn 750 total calories in the workout)
~ Stayed within calories BUT ate some unhealthy stuff. I've got to stop using my high exercise calories as an excuse to eat crappy food.
~ Took my vitamins
Today:
~ Heading to crazy power sculpting/ cardio class at the gym. I think it burns around 500 calories
~ Stay within calories
~ Take vitamins, drink water
~ No eating in front of the TV
~ Limit myself to one drink tonight

Hello!
WL-Doing a little better today. Still sick but I can breathe through my nose. I have a chest cough now. Yuck. I did manage to pull a few weeds this morning and I worked on my car so I burned a few calories. I will be glad when I feel up to doing cardio again. At least I did something today!
I hope you dates go well today!
Gotta get on to the next exercise: making a grocery list. I wonder how many calories I burn over stressing about what to eat for the next week. :laugh:0 -
So, I'm super-duper bored with my cardio, so today I did this:
cross trainer (elliptical, but w/ arms) for 100 calories.
eliptical (no arms) for 100 calories
recumbent stationary bike for 100 calories
rowing machine for (sensing a pattern here?) 100 calories
then, I walked home with all my stuff, 200 calories.
In case you're wondering, the rowing machine won the battle. I clocked 100 calories on the rowing machine in 7 minutes flat. That was pretty full out, with a considerable amount of resistance, but even I was impressed. It always sits in the corner of the gym and looks so lonely, but that's pretty torchy of the calories, no?
Still have just been "low energy/motivation" lately. I think I go through this sort of cycle after I finish a major project (I had a huge paper I finished at the beginning of the month), sort of like I need a recovery period. I cleaned my desk area yesterday, so that's usually the first sign I'm on an upswing.
Glad you're doing a little better mechanicmom, take it easy on yourself.
You've double booked your dates? You are an adventurer. We'll be wanting the whole scoop.
