Vitamins?

What is your take on vitamins?
I used to take them. But then I realized they plugged me up. I took Women's One-A-Day for a while. Before that I tried One-A-Day Weight Control, but when I took them after breakfast they made me nauseous. So overall I stopped.
I had heard/read that B Complex is great to keep your energy level high. That is the only one I take now.
Should I be taking a multi-vitamin daily? And if so, what is a good one to take that won't plug you up?

I think the one a day vitamins are probably the best. Maybe add more fiber in your diet? I've been drinking meal replacement shakes that are packed full of vitamins. Vitamins are important!0

I take B's (energy, metabolism), D's (mood, energy, bones and teeth), Omegas (regularity, mood, energy) and magnesium (muscles and migraines)
The multi's are ok, but I tend to take just what I need. Too much iron will also stop you up
Try some probiotics too for regularity.0 -
I take a calcium and an E, as prescribed by my doctor. The calcium is because i'm older and the E was to treat an arthritic ankle, which really doesn't exist anymore since I started running.0

I have experienced the upset stomach also. I found that I have to take it mid-meal. Also, I gave it some time and after a few days my body adjusted to the taking the vitamin and the stomach problem went away. I definitley noticed a drop in my energy level without vitamins. I work for a Doctor who says the chewable flintstones vitamins are enough to satisfy the daily vitamin needs if you cannot find an vitamin that agrees with your system.0

Honestly, I would talk to your doc next time you go in. Even your OBGYN could tell you what you need. I can't take a one a day either for the same reason.0

I take Gummy Multivitamins, Caltrate calcium & vitamin D, and B12 (for energy)
Hope this helps.

My doc said don't take the MV in the morning, or at the same time as other meds, because there can be so many different reactions...space it out. So, I started taking a Men's One-A-Day with lunch, and have no problems with it bothering my stomach (or anything else) anymore. Oh...and eat more fruit. :-)0
