Can someone explain please. I am keeping under my calorie goal but the scales have not moved. I burn about 300 cals per day as exercise. What should i be doing. Should i eat the calories advised and not exercise every day??? Someone help please as i think im burning fat but im not losing it :( and i am gutted as i dont know what i should be doing to get the best out of my daily food intake. Can you all advise what you do and how you use your calories. Mine is basic 1200 per day and with exercise it can vary to say 1450 ish per day should i consume that amount as my body is not shifting anything.
HELP PLEASE :(

Is this just over 1 week? That's not enough time to tell much, since weight can fluctuate for many reasons. Weigh yourself on the same day at the same time buck naked to get the best idea of your weight. You could try only eating back half of your calories burned. Sometimes I think the calories burned estimate is high, so I don't eat them all back. But if I am still hungry, I'll have a little snack.
  • For me, I don't eat the calories burned, I figure that's the only way I am going to eat away at the deficit of fat that I have!!! Also if you haven't started tracking what you eat I would recommend trying. It may be that the calories you are consuming aren't from the best sources. Best of luck to you!

jonye if you have 47lbs you wish to lose then your calorie goal needs to be a lot higher than 1200 a day. Re-enter your statistics, your lifestyle, and look at losing your weight a bit slower (do you have it to lose 2lb a week if so raise it to a 1lb a week). You basically aren't eating enough calories and your body has most probably gone into starvation mode. Make sure you eat your calorie allowance daily.
  • These areall great suggestions. Just remember, you didn't get to where you are with your body in a week! It takes a while, but the results are WELL worth it.
  • Thank you everyone for your advice. I have decided as per gilleeman's observation that i would look for a lower loss each week due to the fact my body is bigger so have changed my profile info and aiming at 1lb per week. My new calorie goal each day is 1480 now and not 1200 so fingers crossed when i start this higher calorie intake tomorrow i may start to see some weight shifting once a week, just a 1lb a week is all i would want i dont want to be greedy.
    Thanks everyone
