Ok so I just found out that I only have 6 weeks to shed these last 20lbs which wouldnt be so bad if I haven't been trying to do it since Febuary. I have been stuck at this weight for months now and I have been going really hard over the last month and yet still nothing Today in such a desperate attempt I decided to cut my calories down to 1200 rather than 1490 (which is where MFP set me at)-- I also just recently bought me a colon cleansing system  - but hey something has to give if I am eating right and working out and drinking my water something should be happening- Even my doctor is stumped- So here it goes 6 weeks to drop these 20lbs --- Good luck everyone

just curious why you need to lose it in 6 weeks....are you doing it for something fun? like a vaca or is this just a personal goal...sorry if you mentioned it before...lets blame it on aging brain cells :ohwell: lol

It's when my husband finally arrives back from this long 15 month tour in Iraq- plus I will be wearing a bathing suit in front of him and all his soldiers buddies/friends when we go to a waterpark- Mind you these guys have done nothing but taken supplements and hit the gym in their spare time so they are looking extra beefed up- So I have 6 weeks to lose these stubborn pounds that haven't gone anywhere regardless what i do- Which is already discouraging but even more discouraging because if in 3 months nothing happened what makes me think that in only 6 weeks something will happen

mrsyac2: Good luck! I am an Air Force wife and know where you are coming from. 23 years in the AF there has been lots of 'hurry up and lose weight' so my husband has something to look at when he gets home. You can do it. Pump up that exercise and stay on track. My husband retired 01 Sept of 2006 and just when I thought we were through with TDYs, they sent him (he's a civilian on base now) TDY for 6 weeks. :grumble: And I didn't think about trying to lose a lot of weight until 3 weeks into it. So then I started with a goal of 15 pounds. Well, I lost 9 of those pounds and he was really surprised when he got off the plane. He was walking up the lane from where they let people out and of course there were others walking with him and other people standing with me waiting for their loved ones, and he looks up and says REALLY loud, "Wow Look At You!!!!" I was so embarrassed that I just wanted to sink into the floor.:blushing: And of course, everyone turned to look at ME!!! But, he was happy and surprised. You can do that too. Just keep pushing and that weight will fall off and your husband will fall down when you blow him away with that great body. Don't give up. It will all be worth it.:drinker:

Photo::: thanks- Im not trying to suprise him its more for me I have been voted the Hottest Wife in the Company (may not be good for other wives considering their spouses voted for me rather than them lol) but thats with my clothes on I want to keep my status even in my bathing suit- My husband doesn't really want me to lose weight he was actually a little P*O'd when he came home for R&R because he said my Butt went down but to me it didn't trust me I know when I have to buy jeans for a small waist big booty lol- but in a mans eyes it was huge lol- oh well he will get over it. Yeah this is just a goal I set for myself to looked good not only in clothes and a bathing suit but also Naked lol (I told my doctor that the other day he about hit the floor laughing)

As for my husband he is beefing up for me I told him he is too skinny so he has packed on almost 30 lbs of muscle and he struggles to maintain it because his metabolism is so fast (wow I wish I had that problem lol)

Well that sounds good then. It didn't look like to me in your picture that you needed to lose weight, so I'm glad you are doing it because you want to. But keep up the healthy eating and I'm glad your hubby is coming home to you safe and sound. Tell I said thank you for his service and also thank you too. I know you sacrifice a ton too to keep our country safe, so my hats off to you as well.

Congrats on you hubby coming back home. I was on a LONG plateau too. I did something similar to break thru it- I went from 1500 cals to 1200 cals and doubled my cardio. The first week I lost 3.5 pounds.

Yeah thats what I am doing I hope it will work- It is just so frustrating and discouraging to work hard and eat right and nothing comes off- but I will stick with it--
