Hello everyone.
Lately I have been trying to eat "clean" foods. It is really hard, because my budget is very tight. My workplace is a breeding ground of snacks and unhealthy habits (I work an office job). Luckily, I actually have the issue of eating my full suggested caloric intake, but what I was eating was horrible packaged stuff a.k.a. "the college diet", consisting of ramen, pizza, mac & cheese, and anything a dollar.
A new coworker of mine that works closely with me is a very clean eater, and each day she shows me what she has brought for lunch. She doesn't ingest much chemicals or processed foods. Needless to say, she is a necessary inspiration in my life. Lately, because of all of our talk of food, gyms, and even how to clean up our emotional lives, word has gone around my department.
I hear the department talk about working out, baby steps, comparing their McDonald's breakfast to things they could of had, etc. I am ecstatic that our commitment to bettering ourselves has spread to the workplace. This is vital because I'm here more than I am at home.
And now to the actual topic question, I would like to hear how everyone else is changing their workplace. What has worked, not worked? I would love to hear success stories and clever ideas to avoid temptation of eating at the desk.
