after seeing somethings posted on here several times i realixed that there is a "language" on this site that alot of us dont neccessarily understand having just figured out TOM a couple weeks ago i figured i'd start this great thread please add as you see fit. also the little symbols that we post sometimes can be included.

TOM- time of the month ( i know the guys have all been confused with that one)

    I personally just like how the acronym TOM was created... and makes it look like we're blaming the male population for our womanly troubles. :-)

    BF% = Body Fat Percentage

    BMI = Body Mass Index

    BMR = Basal Metabolic Rate

    RMR= Resting Metabolic Rate

    TDEE = Total Daily Energy Expenditure (usually assumed to NOT include exercise) TDEE with Exercise would be total energy used for the day (including exercise)

    BUMP = replying to a post to put it back to the top of the forum for further reading
