Help! Sticking to diet but gaining weight

I'm completely confused. I've been religious about logging and measuring EVERYTHING that goes in my mouth and working out at least 30mins every day and I've gained 3lbs this week! I thought maybe the calorie limit MFP set for me was too high so I compared it to about 10 other websites and all of the other sites say I should be eating more....I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any suggestions? It's very hard to continue when the scale isn't reflecting my hard work!

Could be numerous of things from all the info I read on the boards here.
Do you drink enough water?
Could it be muscle gain?
Do you eat your exercise calories back?
How are you doing on sodium? Are you going over?
Give it some time, you may see a nice number on the scale next week.0 -
I just added you as a friend so I can see your food dairy. 3lbs isn't that much to worry about because as women we tend to juggle about 3 to 5lbs at certain times of the month. Do you think you can be retaining water? How much sodium are you consuming daily? Is it time for your menses or did it just leave? Just throwing somethings at you to think about.0

3lbs in one week can only mean one thing... fluid. You don't gain fat or muscle that fast. I would certainly look at sodium and watch anything that's processed. Are you eating bread or crackers made with enriched flour? Eating any processed meats like sausage, deli meat, etc.? The good news is once you get a handle on it, it will fall off easy.0

I'm pretty sure its not the sodium and it's not that time of the month...I don't eat my exercise calories and I'm only doing cardio right now until I get closer to my goal weight because I tend to put on muscle pretty easily and I don't want to get discouraged by the scale in the beginning...which I am anyways right now I know it's bad but I weigh in every day and it has gone up every day since Monday. I lost 11lbs the first week so I know it worked in the beginning...maybe i should decrease my calories.0

Ok, so I just looked at my sodium intake for the week and it was a little on the high side so I'll really start focusing on that and hope it helps. Thanks for the help!0

I would really encourage you to stay away from processed foods. Eat only whole foods! You will feel so much better when you do. All that processed food is covered in sodium. good luck!0
