So a new gym just opened up very close to my house, and I get in the mail a coupon for a "one week free pass." Has anyone ever taken advantage of such an offer, and if so, what was the process...did you have to give them a credit card, fill out some forms, donate a kidney, etc....just wondering because I don't want to waste my time if it's too much of a hassle.

:o]

  • Depends on the gym, but most of them will make you sit through their "orientation", which is basically just an hour long sales pitch.

I've done it before and usually it's just that...free. No charges, no hassles.

I did it before joining my gym...just had to sign a waiver and put a deposit on the key fab..it's a 24 hr gym. I would have gotten the deposit back if i hadn't joined. I suppose all gyms are different. It prob wouldn't hurt anything to just call and ask what their procedure is.
