Plateau..

So, I cant get passed my plateau. Ive been doing Insanity for almost 2 weeks now (I know thats not long) and I've been having great burns - like 400 calories in 40 minutes. I've been eating all my calories, I've eaten less calories, I've gone over my calories in hopes of reving my metabolism and I cannot budge the scale. I'm drinking lots of water, I dont know what I'm doing wrong! Any advice?

Sounds like you aren't doing anything wrong... plateaus just happen. I recommend staying off the scale for 2-4 weeks and instead measuring yourself to see if you're losing inches. Keep doing what you're doing, and you should break out of the plateau eventually!0

I totally agree. Sometimes if you step off the scale for a few weeks you will see a big change! Keep plugging away!!!!!Sounds like you aren't doing anything wrong... plateaus just happen. Stay awayyyy from the scale..give it another two weeks of really trying hard..then measure everything, including body fat. If you're doing what you say you're doing, you WILL lose inches even if the scale doesn't budge. I got very discouraged recently too because the scale wasn't moving and I've been doing this Bootcamp for about two months. But when I had my eval, I had lost inches AND body fat. I honestly haven't weighed myself since, it messes with my mind even when I know how hard I'm working. Don't give up0

When you hit the plateau stage you need to give your self more time so I agree with the previous post give yourself at least 4 weeks + before you jump on the scale again. And two weeks to switch your eating habits that many times may not be the best maybe stick to one for a little bit longer two weeks or so and then if you dont see a change then mix it up. Good luck!0

Here it is there was alot of people including me who did Insanity and the scale went up or did not go down. How are your inches?0

I'm in the same boat! But I have a running miles goal, so I just keep working on that number, which I have complete control over.. unlike the one my (*&%$^$ scale gives me! hahaha0

I'd put down the insanity (and all cardio for that matter) for 10 days to 2 weeks and just do strength training instead, completely mix it up, do something your body has never done or hasn't done in a long while, and then go back to the cardio and see what happens.0
