Runners cramps

I am no runner, however when I exercise lately I get what my doctor calls runners cramps.
I drink plenty of water before during and after exercising, I stretch before. It only occurs when I am doing my aerobic exercises.
Any other ideas that you may have used or heard of that may help.
thanks

Are you talking stomach cramps or leg cramps?
I've always understood that stomach cramps when exercising were from improper breathing. Leg cramps can be your running style, not stretching, lacking essential amino acids, dehydration. etc etc.0 -
Its stomach side cramps. My doctor said to make sure I drink alot and get enough potassium and do stretching before any exercise..
just wondering if this was common.0
