Victorious Fitness Challenge. . .May 30

How's everybody doing on their monthly goals?

I'm struggling to avoid "sugar calories" I had two "two bite" cinnamon rolls at a choir practice last night. . .booo! But, I was able to go out last night and have only one glass of red wine. .. hooray!. I find myself craving sweets. a lot. I've also noticed that I'm slacking in the veg. department, so I'm trying to up that as well.

Doing good with exercise. I'm finding that the "500 calorie" "whatever" cardio rule is working. I don't feel guilty when I don't go to a specific class at the gym, but still get my calorie burn in.

I'm only doing my weights because I promised you guys I would. My body shape is changing from this, and I'm not crazy about it. My clothes are all fitting dramatically differently these past two months. I'm getting broader in the shoulders, and bigger in the thighs and butt. So, this is making my clothes tight, which is seriously messing with my head, as tight clothes=fatter in my brain. I'm probably going to have to buy bigger pants and take them to the tailor to get the waist taken in, so they'll fit my new defined/bigger thighs.

But, I digress. . .
today is weights (probably BL sculpt). Then, later I have a massage scheduled (thank you, Jesus!) as my back and shoulders feel completely "locked up".

    I have not done well at my goals at all, but sickness and other things have gotten in the way too. I am trying to drink more water and eat more fruits and veggies. I am going shopping today and I am not buying anything sweet. Well, chocolate chips to put in some muffins I guess. I told my hubby to hide them though! I will eat them! I have to go to 4-5 stores when I shop because of the budget and the strict diet my son is on. That usually takes me a couple of hours, so I count it towards my calories burned for the day. If I am not too worn out I may go for a 30 minute walk later and work on my car this afternoon in the heat. We'll see how far I get. I am usually off on the weekends but I may try to work on my car this weekend.

    I wish we could all have a spa weekend together!

    This is prescribed (I love my Dr.!) and it's actually very ouch-y during (and after a bit) but, the next day I'm a tender but bendier woman.

    Does anyone know how to search within the subject line on the boards here? I wanted to go back and review my goals from our first Victorious Posting (following the Victoria Day challenge), but when I search for "Victorious" it doesn't give me any of our posts as a result, I think because it is only searching the body of the post.

    Anyway, Vivia, your question prompted that -- wanted to check in on my goals. I think I'm doing pretty well. The "light week" of exercise was really hard for me; I'm doing much better with the "heavy week" because I get to eat more calories!

    And Viv, that's really interesting that you are seeing the muscle definition so quickly! I'm happy for you even if you are not exactly loving it (yet).

    The big challenge for me is not letting all those extra calories be an excuse to eat unhealthy.

    Yesterday was great!
    ~ Did crazy cardio/ power sculpt class (burned 850 calories...yowza)
    ~ Kept within my calories with healthy foods
    ~ Only had one glass of wine

    Today:
    ~ 45 minutes cardio
    ~ 30 minutes weight -- arms
    ~ Take vitamins/ drink water
    ~ Keep within calories

    Happy Friday all! I didn't get a chance to post yesterday but I did the BL Sculpt skipping Kim's part-I just don't like her....and then I did HH Abs Fat Burning Cardio and did the Sculpt again today. I sure wish The 30 Day Shred would get here-I'm soooo bored!
