Sodium ?

I've never really tracked or worried about my sodium intake - do I really need to? I drink a lot of water - 24oz per hour during my waking hours. I don't cook with or add salt to my food, and I don't eat too many pre-processed foods. My BP at the dr last week was 101/60, so not high bp at all. But I have notice that a few days I was over on my sodium when I ate out for a business lunch or dinner.

I take anti-oxidant supplements if that makes a difference.

It can't hurt to track sodium intake. I encourage everyone to track it, because many people think they're okay on sodium (they don't add salt to things, etc.) but then they realize that they're not doing as great as they thought. (Not saying that's the case with you, but it happens a lot!)

Since it sounds like you're generally okay on sodium, If you have other things you want to track on your diary, then leave sodium off and make a habit of viewing the full (printable) report - the orange button at the bottom of the diary. That always has sodium listed. You can run the report showing sodium intake once a week or so, and if you've had a high day, then revisit your food diary and make a mental note on what changes you could make in the future to avoid the situation again.
