I've just gone to put in oven roast veggies and they are coming up really high in calories .. like 250 for 1/2 cup .. I'm suprised, I would have thought they were low in calories .... is that correct??

Tx

  • It really depends on what Vegetables you are putting in the Oven Roast Vegetables. Some Vegetables are higher in calories than others. If you think it's not correct, enter in the veggies separately on your food log and see what you get.

It would be better to list your ingredients using the "recipe" section, and see what you come up. There's no telling what that "oven roasted veggies" entry in the database has in it...

Whoever entered them may have used a lot of oil on them. You should probably double check.

Traditional oven roasted vegetables don't pay much mind to how much oil is slathered all over them to make them roast.

Whenever I make them I am careful to measure out a TBSP or two of EVOO only for a full batch, just enough to make them glisten. Then you can use the recipe feature to calculate.

hem, I don't use any oil, I roast them in the chicken juice .. I'll check tonight when I get it, see what it says on the bag and compare with what is on here.

    Thankx, all xx
