Question: When you log your food entry & click the "submit entry" button & it says "if you eat like this everyday you will weigh. XXX lbs in 5 weeks, does that figure in how many glasses of water a day you are drinking? I have been drinking more than the recommended 8 glasses of water a day & not having anything else & am just wondering if that will make even more of a difference in that #. Or if that figure is strictly on what you have consumed in calories during that day?

As I understand it, it is based strictly on your calorie consumption, calorie deficit and calories burned.0

Water doesn't have any calories, so it doesn't directly affect weight loss or gain. The reason it's recommended to drink more water when you're trying to lose weight is that it helps keep your hunger at bay, and helps to flush out toxins, as well as being zero calories (instead of drinking sugary drinks that will pack on the pounds). It doesn't directly factor into how much you'll lose though. It just makes it *easier* to lose.0

Thousands of blood cells in our bodies die each day while new cells are formed the reccomended h2o amount is what is needed to bring oxygen to your cells and replenish them. The other benifit is what ajweekley mentioned
ps. it is possible to over consume water as it could deplete the amount of sodium in our bodies0
