I'm going to Hawaii in April (yay!!!!!)

This will be my first time away from home since changing my lifestyle . I want to keep up the good work while I'm away, but still feel relaxed and indulged while on vacation. (Strawberry daiquiris, I'm talking to you.)

Any tips?

We already have a few hikes planned, and I can always swim, it's more the food I'm worried about. Our room does not have a kitchen.

There are ton's of seafood option for you over there, along with all the fresh fruit. You will do just fine!!! They do have alot of healthy choices.

Also, if you get a chance to go tubing in any of the irrigation canals I'd highly recommend it. It was a blast!!!!! I think they call it "tubing the ditch."

stay away from fried and breaded, and like the above poster said, eat lotssss of fish. Fruits and veggies to snack on are good, and drink in moderation and you should be fine!

Hawaii had TONS of yummy fresh fruit, I didn't have a problem eating when I went for my honeymoon last year. We did lots of snorkeling/scuba activities and walked everywhere. Don't be too restrictive on vacation, try to find a balance between fun and healthy!

Thanks all. I think maybe on top of the yummy local fresh food, the key will be keeping it to one (two at most) indulgent cocktail per day.
