i was wondering if anyone has continued to lose weight while drinking red wine almost every night? a glass or two.
so far so good for me. i enjoy red wine. i work out hard every day, and i eat pretty healthy staying around my calorie intake. i normally dont eat my exercise calories either, unless i burn a lot of calories. i was curious if i stopped drinking red wine, if i would lose more also.
thanks!

I seem to recall reading that a small amount of red wine can actually help weight loss. If it's only a couple of small glasses and its within the calorie limit I can't see how it would hurt. If by glass you mean one of those that fits a whole bottle in then maybe not!0

Personally, I guess the question is if the 4oz glass of red wine is going to slow your metabolism overall, or cause other side effects (cravings, etc. from the second article.)
Hopefully not, as I'm including one glass per day in my 1400 net calories per day--it's got so many advantages, not the least of which is hopefully raising my HDLs (along with the fish, exercise and weight loss I'm shooting for.)0 -
not directly weight loss related but see

and this should help re fat loss and alcohol in general
http://www.leangains.com/2010/07/truth-about-alcohol-fat-loss-and-muscle.html
And that article is referring to going over your maintenance as well as taking in the macronutrients so it is not as if you could eat 500cals food, 300cals of alcohol when your bmr is 1500 and gain fat.0
