What a great day! I'm thinking of going to bed now just to make sure nothing happens to ruin the rest of it!!

Started off by riding my 'short' route--8 miles--and did a personal best time so far of 35 minutes!!!!!!!

Then, came home and hubby and I went out canoeing. It was the first time I've been out in the canoe with him in about 10 years.

We went out to a barrier island--uninhabited--about 2 miles off the coast. We took folding chairs and a lunch. It was unbelievably beautiful!! The beach went on forever and there was no body but us there; well, and some seabirds

I stripped down to my sports bra and shorts and exposed parts of my body that haven't seen the sun since I was young enough to go topless in public--and we're talking about 43 years here! I'm thinking I might even get a bathing suit for the next time we go out there

Anyway, we had a great time. It was so relaxing and beautiful. Got lots of cool seashells, too

Then, I finally got through to my doctor about my blood sugar lows I've been having really bad lately. She said since I've lot weight and am exercising so well, to cut my diabetes meds in half and see how I respond to that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

I'm partying here today !!

Congratulations:flowerforyou: I'm working on getting there too ( not the part about going topless in public:blushing: ) It seems like I'm going 2 steps forward and 1 step back, for some reason I cant get into the swing of things right now. I hope you made a picture to remember your beautiful day, it is so much fun to look back some times

It's taken me 2 months of riding almost every day to get there! The first time I tried that same route, I only made it 4 miles and it took me 80 minutes!

    Hello:

Next year Aug 09 I am planning on canoeing down the Mississippi River. I figure it will take 2 1/2 to 3 Months. It is a huge undertaking. I am paddling as much as possible and will start camping out again in the fall. I am using the rowing machine 3 times a week at my Ymca and trying to paddle once a week.

There are plenty of pictures and lately I have been paddling on the St. Johns River to work on current , bigger waves and wind.
