How do I use recipe builder?

I am attempting to use the recipe builder feature but am having difficulty.
I type in egg and press add ingredient and nothing happens.

What is it I'm doing wrong?

    Options
    You add ingredients like you add food to your diary, so once you open up the new recipe and click 'Add Ingredient', you have to search for the matching food - so which type of egg you usually use. This gets you the same box to select the serving size and everything. Repeat this for all additional ingredients.
