Hello, I joined this site two days ago now.
I have a plan of what I want to do, what my goal is and how to get to that goal. It's just the inspiration and the moral support that I need which is missing.
My birthday is coming up in February and I bought a dress a size too small for inspirtation. (Not like I'm celebrating my birthday as I have work.) Then this year September, I'm going on holiday with my best friend. I want to be at a weight where I can feel comfortable enough to be able to walk onto the beach....go in the sea.
I'm 18 and I weight 196lbs. I'm unhealthy, I don't eat a lot but I don't get any exercise as I work usually from 4pm-2am/6pm-2am and the only days off I get are Thursdays and Sundays. Which are my days for resting and catching up on my sleep as I'm also an Insomniac.
I am 5'3 ish. Not quite sure.

I'm going to take pictures, one from the front, side and back so I can see in the camera's lense my proportions properly. These pictures will be blended into one and I will put it as my laptop wallpaper to remind myself how badly I need to do this. When I finish work, I'm going to go for an hours walk at a slow pace to start with as I'm not used to exercise. Get home and have a 'Biggest Loser Milkshake' for my breakfast and go to sleep as I'll need it for work the next day. That next day, I will be doing a different exercise, I will be going on the Wii and play 'Just Dance', then the next day it will be the Wii Fit. I'm going to be going in a cycle with my exercise so I have more variety and I'm not working the same muscle every time.
I'm on the 'Biggest Loser' diet at the moment but as it's run by schedule, it's hard to do for me due to work. So when I finish the things I have left from the stuff I bought, I'm going to go back onto Slim Fast. I also have tablets coming that will speed my metabolism up and get rid of my water weight to start with.
I'm also going to start doing YouTube video's on my channel for my progress in weight loss. For more moral support. So if any of you are interested in that, I can let you know when I will be following that through.

So this is me and my plans to become a healthier more confident me.

    As long as you start moving and you are ready for the journey then let's get it done!

    I know what it's like to want to start and feel overwhelmed by losing weight, especially when it's more than a couple of pounds, but you can do it.

    I have been at this for about two months and I'm already down nearly 10 pounds!

    Sounds like a good plan - having small goals over long period of time.
    Take it easy with exercise at first. Low impact stuff like walking is great.

    I've been plodding along here for about 6 months, keeping my goals real and achievable and have some good success so far. Still got some way to go but a happy bunny with how things are :-)

  • Okay you are young, your weight will come off fast and right, if you do it correctly with exercise.. I advise you not to take anything to speed up your metabolism as you all ready have a hard time sleeping, taking pills will make it worse because they contain caffine other stimulants to keep you awake.. My suggestion do not take them, if you drink lots of water and exercise you will definitely eliminate the water in your body naturally, or eat foods that help that. You can google that and I'm sure you will find the answer!!!!!

    Also, exercising 3 to 4 times a weeks should be great, but if you need to get down that dress size by February I suggest maybe going for 5 days of exercising at 60 minutes, I know it sounds like a whole lot but do fun exercises... You have a game console, so I suggest since you like the dance game, get the ZUMBA game, I can gaurantee you will fit that dress doing ZUMBA. Reason being, Zumba engages your core so much, therefore bring your waistline down and you will sweat so much... Try it I promise you will love it!!!

    Youtube is a great resource for videos!!! You can find all types of routines and workouts, so find something that works for you..

    By the way exercising will help with your insomnia!!!!
