Day 14---I now have two weeks into this quitting chip trip. I am no longer thinking about the dang things all the time or in response to ALL emotions. I still want them at weird and wonderful times but I now reconize this and I am able to redirect myself. I think--No, I know--that I can now stop journaling every day on this forum. I just wanted to say thank you to all who supported me -- all the positive energy that you all sent my way. I am sure it had more than just a little influence. Thanks again

OMG does this type of intervention work for any addiction -- I seem to have developed an addiction to twice baked potatoes. I even find ways to fit it into my diet and stay under my calorie goals... but OMG addicted... YUMMY!

Twice baked potatos OMG!! They sound fantastic. BUT--too much of a good thing is not good. Good luck with limiting or eliminating your "food" of choice. We all have them I am sure.

Yeah the worst part is they arent "cheesy" enough for me so I top them with a bit more of cheese!

Chips and anything salty is my addiction too. However, I am not quite as successful as you have been. Does it help that I get the chips etc that have the reduced salt? Somehow I will be able to give them up all together. Just not quite yet.... Congrats on your accomplishment! I know it's a tough one.. :drinker:
