agree or disagree ?

have you all had success eatting back calories burnt ? i know some people agree with it some people don't so just wondering if you did it this way or not and how successful you were on the method you used ?

Yup I eat most. I like to leave a little depending on how much I have left over. The first month I lost 10lbs, 2nd 5lbs and then fell away a little but back at it now.0

i always try to keep my calories in the green B4 bed.0

I don't eat my exercise calories. I also don't work out that much, 50 minutes, 5 days a week on the treadmill. It onlt comes out to about 400 calories per workout. I figure every once in awhile I'm going to go over and that will ballance it out.0

Yes, I don't think it's a matter of agree or disagree, I think your body will not lose the weight as quickly (or at all) if you don't because your body won't be in the right zone to burn. I usually end up with around 100 calories leftover at the end of the day, so I don't eat them all, but I do make a habit of eating most of them back.
I've been on MFP for 12 days, I've worked out 7 times so far, had one cheat day (over by about 55 calories with no workout that day,) and I'm down 5.5 lbs. as of today.0 -
Its all in how you feel, do not force yourself to eat if you are not hungry. But do not keep yourself from eating thinking less is better. Assuming you are eating a well balanced diet, your body will take the nutrients they need. Listen to your body. Exercising can make us hungry and therefore eating those lost calories is fine. We speed up our metabolism when we exercise and will burn those calories in no time. Eating far less in calories than what is allotted can speed up the plateau period, but don't allow this to frustrate you....its about being healthy.0

I did the first couple of days but now I dont. I figure I worked really hard to burn those calories so there for I dont go and eat them back up but thats just my personal choice. I think its all up to the person. I burned 8 pounds the first week doing this but then again it was only the first week. But I also workout at least 30 minutes a day 7 days a week.0

Depends on if im hungry or not, if i dont feel hungry i dont eat them back, if i do feel hungry then i do eat them back.
i'm one of those ones that isnt 100% sure on them.0 -
You just have to figure out what works best for you. I have my base set to 1200 and I exercise everyday. I eat back my exercise calories, but I do not exceed 500 additional calories eaten. Basically I do not go over 1700 total for calories eaten.
But again you have to see what works best for you. This works for me, but it might not work for some.0
