I have this awesome book that's called Extraordinary Uses for Ordinary Things. It has all these wonderful ways to use things around the house for random stuff you normally wouldn't think of. Well yesterday I had the sore throat from hell. I read that if you combine 1/4 cup of cider vinegar and 1/4 cup of honey and take one tablespoon every 4 hours it will heal your sore throat. Keep in mind this is for sore throats associated with a cold or flu. It totally works. It's a little intense. but I hate medicine and gargling with salt water wasn't helping, so I tried it and it's amazing. Just something to keep in mind if you start feeling a little under the weather

My dad made us use this when we first showed signs. Helped a lot....thwarted our attempts to stay home from school. I have a friend in Germany that their family calls it "Grog" drink it all the time and are rarely sick.0

Another remedy would be a spoonful of plain old honey. Now with all the controversy over kids cold medicines the old tried and true tricks of our elders is the most recommended cough remedy by doctors too! Go figure, drugs dont cure all! :happy:0
