My name is Genia. I am 36, married mother of two under two and weigh(ed) 265lbs and am disgusted with myself.
I went to Urgent Care on an unrelated matter and discovered my BP was 154/104.
I decided this was a perfect opportunity to try out a new primary care doctor and went for my first check up with him.
He was great and told me about this website. So here I am, in all my poundage glory.

Dr. Durst put me on BP meds but comforted me by telling me that I wasn't destined to stay on them.
I told him that my husband and I had JUST joined a gym and I was taking things slowly.
My goal was to get back to atleast the weight I was when I met my husband, a long 80lbs ago.

I had told my husband that by way of reward/motivation, I wanted a Cartier watch when I reached this goal. He agreed.

So, I am only on day two here, with one week down at the gym and I have lost 6lbs!

I love that I can use my phone to enter my food and excercise and I especially love that I can scan the barcode on products to input information effortlessly.

So, I'm here... looking for support and friendship. I offer all that in return. I'm motivated and inspired by some of the success stories I've read and hope to one day post my own before and afters.

Good luck everyone. You deserve to be the healthiest you that you can be
