why does it say some black coffees have calories and some don't (and i don't mean flavored - just plain old black coffee)?

A tall coffee from Starbucks is only 5 calories. So even if coffee has calories it is negligible

While you don't necessarily need to count the calories for coffee, you shouldn't count it in your water total for the day because its a peristalitic diuretic. Many nutritionists and nutrition sites recommend adding a glass of water for each cup of coffee you drink. to your daily total water goal.

And just in case any of you aren't physiologists out there a diuretic basically tells your kidneys to excrete water instead of absorbing it even if your body needs it. Alcohol is also a diuretic which is why it makes ya pee so much and you're dehydrated the next morning ( ie. hangover)

thanks, everyone. i'm going to start doing that - not counting the coffee itself, just the "fun" stuff i put in it in order to make it NOT taste like coffee. lol:)
