I haven't tried them, but they look interesting. Why don't you try them and let us know!!!

I love soba noodles (buckwheat) which are way better for you than the white or rice noodles, and I saw a great looking recipe on Prevention where you toss a cup or two of soba noodles with one tablespoon of peanut butter and a little water to thin it out. I think i would add a tad of roasted sesame oil, green onions and cilantro, and perhaps some grilled chicken for extra protein (or grilled shrimp... ooh and sesame seeds!)

I haven't tried those specifically, but I have tried regular shirataki noodles and tofu shirataki noodles. (I decided against those because I found the others cheaper elsewhere)

The regular shirataki I got off the internet and I was afraid to try them, but after washing and drying thouroughly I put some spaghetti sauce on them snd heated it up and thought that maybe I could get used to the texture.

Then I heard about tofu shirataki and got it and I think it has a much better consistency, it comes in spaghetti angel hair and fettucine shaped. I can buy it in stores close to me, so there is no shipping charges. Pretty much it is a fiber filler product that goes right through you. I use it occasionally and it fills me up for not so many calories (the tofu kind haS 40 cals per bag).

I have heard many people say they hated it, but I am not a picky eater and I feel they are a great additive to my days when I can't keep my calories low. I don't mind the texture I just think of it as al dente noodles and make sure you thoroughly rinse and squeeze out the excess moisture.

    That's my 2 cents.

That sounds like something I would eat for sure.

Yes, just ordered a load of them Saturday. I also get the tofu shirataki at my local healthfood store and made the HG version of alfredo yesterday....YUM!!!!! Am going to make the angel hair ones tonight for supper. How can you go wrong with a carb-free, fat-free noodle substitute with virtually no calories?? Oh, and be prepared for a little different texture but it's very easy to get used to! Let us know what you think!

Maybe I'll try this recipe with the angel hair tonight instead of the recipe I had planned. I LOOOVE Asian flavors!

The tofu shirataki noodles are great. I have cooked them a couple of times and served them to my 18 year with spaghetti sauce & fresh mushrooms - he loved them - his comments were they were skinny and then they looked like ramon noodles. He said the spaghetti was awesome. I did not tell him they were tofu. He is a very picky eater!!! I think they are great!
