Does the resting HR you set on your HRM affect the calories burned? I know that it calculates based on the percentage of maximum heart rate....but, I'm just how the resting HR figures in....?

I did some reading and it seems that the Max... which is that famous formula that uses your age and some fancy numbers.... stays the same no matter what. Now it is the percentage that changes because of your resting. I found a site with an easy formula. I hope this helps Also though, weight has a significant impact on it as well. I am pretty sure that MFP uses an average weight to calculate their estimations... which is generally 150. So you may be burning less because you weigh less.
My HRM gets me to PUSH! Pick a high comfortably uncomfortable zone and have it notify you when you are out of it. :-D Push!
