Yeah you have to get a very good support bra thats made for exercising. Its going to be expensive but worth it in the long run.

ah yes..i hold them down myself. there is no way i can be jumping around and not...it's annoying...but unfortunately I can't afford much of anything let a lone a good sports bra. For now at least. ;( I wear the bra and "sports" bra over for now..but jumping...I hold them down. LOL

Try doubling up 2 sports bras maybe as a starter. Also, when i first began my diet (i was much more heavy chested than i am now) i did workouts that didn't involve a whole lot of jumping around. I would walk uphill at an incline, & do mostly upper body like punch combos, jabs, uppercuts, anything that avoided JUMPING AROUND!! lol Now that i'm down 35lbs, my chest is significantly smaller and it's much easier.
  • I'm with Maureen. Enell bras are a great! They're not super attractive, but they totally do the job.

Sometimes I wear my regular bra with a sports bra over it, if I need extra support.

I know what you mean. I'm a size 44I and 5'2. I would love to take up jogging. But I soo top heavy I'm a little scared that lt will hurt. I thinking about trying a smaller sports bra maybe that will keep them controlled.

My oldest can't find her size in stores and the sports bras don't do it. She also has an Enell from an internet store. Try googling them!

Where do you find them at?

    http://www.titlenine.com/product/313801.do

Enell also has a website with a store locator.

    Life changing. Seriously.

like a few others said, get an old regular bra and wear a sports bra over it. I have a really old sports bra too that's probably a size too small and those babies don't move in it! lol

I strap myself down, being double GG too .. I wear my normal bra, a sports bra over that, then my swimming costume speedo, cos they are always tight and then a work out top ..lol, so well and truly held down !!
  • I wear my regular bra with a high impact sports bra over it. I don't like the uni-boob look most sports bras give and this is a great fix for that. BTW - I jog and I'm a D so it does the trick!

Have you looked at Bravissimo? They specialise in larger breast sizes and the back sizes start at 28. I am a G and can recommend the Max Sports Bra and Freya Active Underwired Bra (both are available through many other online shops too).

The Max Sports Bra looks good as a top on its own but I am not slim enough to pull that off. With the pretty colours its a pretty sports bra too. Freya underwired not so pretty but is fantastic for running. Everything stays in place and no bounce issues.

In the UK, I've made good experience with

    - Marks and Spencer "high impact" sports bra line (I have 2 38 F and 1 36 G)
    - Triumph sports bra bought online at John Lewis

Bravissimo is worth a check, but I haven't had an opportunity yet.
  • I have the same problem! I'm 5'4" and a 32G and it's quite painful for me to jog, jump, or anything similar. I've talked to the owner of the specialty bra shop that I buy my bras at and she recommended the sports bra line from Freya. I own two normal Freya bras and they're pretty comfy, so I've been thinking about ordering one of their sports bras to see what they're like. They aren't super pretty, but if you're just wearing them for working out, who cares?

Here's the link for their bras: http://www.freyalingerie.com/active.aspx

    I hope this helps! :)

You need to try on many different sports bras. In the dressing room do jumps and stuff u would do. You will know when you find a good one. For now try to hold them while you exercise. I know it's a pain but that's what I had to do before getting a good sports bra.

Glad I found this thread - I'm a DD/E and I was thinking tonight while I was doing the stairclimber....Dang it!! These things are gonna give me black eyes!! lol. And we live around some uppity people, so holding the puppies down with the hands gets some not very nice looks. heehee. So I'm DEF going to check out some of these bras!

I'm a G-cup in the UK and I wear Freya sports bras for playing netball which involves a lot of jumping. There is a website that only sells sports bras called lessbounce.com I've used them in the past, they're probably your best bet.

I try to not do a whole lot of bouncy exercises lol but when i do i either hold my boobs in place lol or make my bra super tight so they stay in place and dont bounce haha

Enell. Enell, Enell....It's one of the best sports bras out there! It's endorsed I think by the "Biggest Loser" and it's Ophra's favorite bra! I got mine yesterday and I really like it alot, it's so comfortable and holds everything in place, no bounce! www.ladiesonlysports.com, $62 with a $2.00 off coupon code from the site and free shipping! It's definately worth the investment. Good luck.

Enell sizes seem pretty small. The bust size only goes up to an E cup. Back sizes look very generous but its a big shame the cup sizes are so small. I had heard good things about them.

Don't bother with trying a smaller bra size - they will just squeeze out the bottom and top and sides!! And , it won't hold them down much better.
