New and starting over

Hello,
I am a 29 year old mother of two wonderful kids age 9 and almost 11. I lost the baby weight after each child quite effortlessly. It was once they were toddlers and I became a full-time college student that the weight slowly crept up on me. I went from 112-115lbs to 154lbs in about 3 years. I honesly didn't notice the weight as I was in complete denial. I thought my clothes were shrinking in the wash LOL. I never stepped on my scale ever.
In 2007 my car broke down to where I would have to replace the entire engine. Since I couldn't afford that and couldn't afford a new car even a used one (I want to pay off my student loans before taking on any more debt so financing a car was out of the question.) . I hate public transit, so that spring I decided to walk everywhere (I also gave up processed food around this time) and 7 months later I was down to 125 lbs. I got a gym membership for a few months to tone up and eventually reached 117lbs.
I hovered around 120-125lbs until the fall of 2009 when I accepted a fulltime desk job. I was so stressed with trying to balance work and family life and basically stopped working out altogether. I stayed away from processed foods and fast food, but rarely ate fresh produce and sometimes skipped breakfast.
So here I am at 136 lbs. I am 5' 4" so even though I am technically a normal BMI, the extra weight gain is pretty obvious on my small frame and I am now aiming to lose 20lbs by my 30th birthday.
Thanks for reading my long story!
