Nuvaring Migraine Question?

I used the Nuvaring for a little over a month and a half and it caused horrible daily migraines which went away after I removed the ring and got off of birth control. My OBGYN said that studies have shown that women who take bc and experience migraines ( before or during use) are more likely to suffer from stroke or heart attack. To me, it was a side effect I didn't want to mess around with. So, I got off of it. Now I will get a headache here and there around the time of my cycle and I imagine it is because of the influx in hormones. All the meds you listed don't touch my headaches, but i have had great success with Peppermint and Frankincense oils.
