Any Other HCG Dieters Out There???

Options
I started on my HCG diet path last June... did really well. Lost almost 50 lbs... then I fell off the wagon and gained about 25 back over the holidays. The diet works great... as long as I followed it. More will power needed here! Back on it right now. Day 9 of a 40 day phase. Down 14lbs...

Sorry, but this diet seems very unsustainable and unhealthy.

It is the Human chorionic gonadotropin hormone which is the same hormone produced by the body when it is pregnant. It forces your body to burn the bad fat in conjunction with a very specific low calorie diet.

I tried the diet after a friend of mine did because I too wanted that quick fix and it made me extremely ill. Trying to survive on 500 calories a day is so dangerous and unrealistic. It so wasn't worth the money and the sickness. It is extremely dangerous and for the record the companies cannot put the real hCG into the product that you would receive from your physician for fertility issues. hCG is given through intramuscular or subcutaneous injection which will be MONITOR by the specialist who is helping a fertility patient. After that you are given an injection of hCG to stimulate ovulation. Dosages for women undergoing ovulation induction are typically between 5,000 and 10,000 units. It takes about 36 hours for hCG to begin to work. It's a quick dangerous fix to something that should be a lifestyle change and not a quick overnight type of deal. If it really was good for you wouldn't there be more doctors on board offering this to their patients?

Sorry if this offends anyone on here but that's what MFP is all about...losing weight the correct way and making the lifestyle changes that you need to do in order to maintain a HEALTHY you. I would hate to see anyone get sick and have something horrible happen to them just because it was the diet of the moment.

YES! There are other HCG Dieter's out there! I started HCG on January 7, 2011...my starting weight was 176 and today I'm down to 169 - - a slow loss- - yes, but I haven't been sticking to the diet much on the weekends! I did HCG for the first time in November of 2009 and managed to keep 15 pounds off for 11 months! At the beginning of this year I was still down 10 pounds, but I'd like to loose about 30 this round!

I've had multiple friends do the HCG diet and had great results! I have one friend who lost 200+ pounds and she has mainted her weight for over a year now! WAHOO!

I have just sent off for the HCG drops and am excited to start. Also bought health expert Leslie Kenton's book 'The Cura Romana Weightloss Plan'. It is identical diet-wise to the original HCG plan as well as having Leslie's excellent recipes and guidance. www.curaromana.com Looking forward to the drops arriving in the next couple of days and getting started! If anyone has any beginner tips please let me know.
