I've decided to start video-blogging this journey to a better diet. I've got 70+lbs to lose!

It's a big deal to me, so I have alot to say!

loved the video blog! i could relate to a lot of what you say, i started gaining weight right after college.

it sounds like you have some realistic goals (i can't stand reading the diaries of people who are borderline starving themselves) it's so much about moderation. i'm living in portland, and i'm totally luck that there is a crazy amount of organic/local stuff here. i'll be super awesome for a bit, but then i'll totally have a setback and cave into some fastfood ("OMG TODAY WAS HORRIBLE! I want salty/fatty stuff!") meals.

    thanks allison!
yeah, i've video-blogged on & off on various youtube channels for years...well, I used to, anyway. So I reactivated an old channel, I thought it would give me a good outlet to talk about all of this stuff. For me, it feels huge. Crazy right? I mean, its almost like a decision to get married, or have a child. I feel as though this decision is irreversible. No matter what, I will have to stick with it. I'll have my off days, but I want to be a healthier person, period. Does that sound crazy dramatic? lol. Probably.

Also- I agree with you...I can't believe how some people on MPF (and in life), will starve themselves to lose weight. I see some girls on here who seem to eat 1000cals (or less) perday and workout for 2 hours. That is not only horrible for your body, but its also not a sustainable way to live. You'll never keep the weight off if you don't learn how to eat properly. Crash dieting just isn't the answer.

Thanks for your reply :). You can subscribe if you want, if you have a youtube channel...I think I might make some more.
    xx
