Hey guys...

I've been off the wagon for a while now... about 4 weeks with a week of on the wagon in the middle and I'm sad! :( I'm trying to quit smoking at the same time and it's just not working so well.

I want to write out my plan, just because it's always good to write out goals:

Tonight: Get Chantix.
40 Min Elliptical
20 Min Walking
Tuesday: Start Chantix, Cig limit: 10.
40 Min Elliptical
Full Body Strength
Wednesday: Cig limit: 8
40 Min Elliptical
20 Min Walking
Thursday: Cig limit: 6
40 Min Elliptical
Full Body Strength
Friday: Cig Limit: 4
Off day
Saturday: Cig Limit: 2
45 Min Elliptical
20 Min Walking
Full Body Strength
Sunday: QUIT DAY
45 Min Elliptical
20 Min Walking

So there. That's how it's going to be. AND I'm going to make an attempt at eating at least half of my exercise calories each day. (Something I didn't do previously)

So now I'm going to go put this in my journal.

Lol, thanks for reading!

that is great that you are trying to quit. i wish you a lot of streagth for the long hard road ahead of you. i do know that most addictions are overcome easier if you replace the "bad" addiction with something positive. for example, when you crave a cigarette, have some gum (obvious example) or if you find something you want more that the cigarette, like being able to run a 5k or something like that. good luck we are all here for you.

It sounds kinda silly but if you try OBSESSING about having perfectly clean teeth, fresh breath, and
nice smelling hair it may help you quit. Brush your teeth after every meal and monitor how white your smile is becoming each day. If you have been smoking awhile...remember you have conditioned your body to certain breathing patterns when you smoked. Try learning to deep breathe for a few minutes each hour and find an essential oil to inhale. It will calm and relax you in the same way breathing in a cigarette would. Imagine your body being pristine, honor it, and it will work with you to break the addiction to unhappiness (smoking).
