Ok, so I need to lose 60lbs. My bday is the end of February (the 27th) and I was wondering how much weight I could realistically lose by then. 15lbs?? 20lbs? I have no idea what is a good mini goal to strive for!

Thanks so much!

i would say its safe to say it you calculate everything, you will lose 2lbs a week, ( i did when i had 40 to go ) you have 6 weeks starting today, i would make my goal 12lbs by 2/27....Happy Birthday and GOOD LUCK! :drinker: :flowerforyou:

Maybe 15? I wouldn't go for more than 2 pounds a week. I lost at a rate of 1/2 to 1 a week. It took some time, but I got there.
  • Hi 1kg a week is a reasonable starting goal (2.2lbs) also good to have a non number related goal- for example, take a pair of jeans/pants whatever that wont close and decide to get into them comfortably :)

Well I was going to give you some suggestions until I saw your profile pic!! :grumble: Go Steelers!!

Just kidding, I won't hold it against you. Anything from 1-2 pounds per week is a good goal to reach for. Good luck!

One pound a week would be 6 pounds... but basing on the fact most people drop weight a bit quicker the first couple of weeks. especially if you are really changing diet/exercise... I'd say 8-10 is very reasonable. I don't tend to put dates on my weight goals though... because I rarely make them and then get discouraged! You could also set up some non scale related goals!
