There is so much advice on here!!!! Try the post on Expectations. I'll bump it for you.

It's under Motivation, but here is the link too: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/9433-expectations

When I lost the 40 lbs before I got pregnant with my daughter I found the best way to get past that was to switch up your work out routine. Your body gets used to it. Shake it up, girl!

This is the second time I hit a plateau. Just stick around and you will get past your plateau. I got through the first one and I am determined to get past this one.

I am definitely in phase 5 and its killing me. I havent lost any weight in about 3 weeks. I really need to get my motivation back and start losing again. I have 10 pounds to go and I am going on vacation in 5 weeks. I find it is harder in this stage then it was in all the other stages. I wish I had some advice for you, but I'm in the same boat.:grumble:

I just got out of a plateau that lasted for 3-4 weeks. I just worked on watching my eating more carefully and stepped up my exercise. It took a couple weeks, but I finally dropped a pound. Keep working on it and it will pass:smile:

Plateaus are EVIL!!!! They are basically your body saying "hey whats going on" and wanting to hold onto the fat that it finds so dear(no other way to put it) its just when you have to kick up the intesity and go at it harder I am stuck in one and its IRRITATING me!!!

When you find away please let me know- I have been struggling for 3 months now- and I am starting to get depressed over it. Just don't quit and stick it out no matter how long it takes mind over matter.
