One small success, and one BIG one!

I've been working out for about 3 months now but the weight I have to lose is coming off very SLOWLY. I don't have much weight to lose so even though I get frustrated at times, it's not too bad because I know that when you're close to your ideal weight, it comes off much slower. BUT.....
SMALL SUCCESS: I had my first person notice my weight loss (I've only lost about 3 lbs but I'm looking much more toned and fit so I'm hoping that it looked like more).
BIG SUCCESS: As I was busting my butt to the 30 Day Shred, my 5 month old woke up from his nap and started laughing his butt off at mommy jumping around and gasping for breath...and I realized something: To him mommy is the prettiest lady, even if my butt is the size of a small country, even when I don't have make-up on, and even if my hair is a mess. A healthy diet and exercise make me feel energized and strong but nothing makes me feel better than that sweet little boy of mine.

Okay, I'm done. Everyone have a blessed day!

Tearing up right now!!! You are so RIGHT!!! You are the WORLD to that little boy no matter WHAT! WTG!
  • great job! I don't have a lot to lose and it really seems like it's tough because I burn so many fewer calories compared to people with more to lose...I'm also doing the 30DS, although I was just on day 7 today. I haven't really seen any results yet but I'm going to keep at it!
  • Yes you are. And you always will be....even when he's 16 and swears he doesn't like you very much (my oldest is 22 now)...LOL! Good for you! And he's going to get the best example growing up from YOU. That he needs to eat healthy and exercise and have a great life!
  • I have a 3 year old boy and a 4 1/2 year old girl. I normally try to work out when they're at school so I can have some peace and quiet, but last week I had to work out on Saturday. I sent them upstairs with a snack and put a movie on, but my son was much more interested in what was going on downstairs. He sat at the bottom (behind the baby gate) and chuckled at me for a good 10 minutes. He was quite tickled that I was jumping around and sweating my butt off. They are so easily amused.

And yes, you will be the light of his life, and he of yours for many years to come. Being a mommy is amazing - but just think how amazing it will be when you're a hot, sexy, fit mommy!!! Keep up the good work!

    marrie,
don't get discouraged. I not sure exactly how much weight I need to lose because my goal is to drop one pants size (so however much weight I need to do that lol) Doing the first level, the only thing I noticed was my endurance getting better. I am almost finished with level 2 now and I can tell you that after completing levels 1 & 2, I've only lost 3 lbs...However, 1) I have gained a half inch in each arm and they look awesome 2) I have lost a half inch in each thigh (thighs are my trouble spot, so I've got quite a bit of toning to do there, but still) 3) my calves and my abs are toning up a bit. Every few days, I double up and do levels 1 and 2 together (and boy do I hurt the next day!). After I complete level 3, I'm moving on to a rotation that Jillian came up with called the 30 Day Slimdown. It incorporates 3 of her dvds...I can't wait to get started! I'm including the link in case you're interested because let's face it, you gotta work EXTRA hard to get those last few pounds off. When you go to the link, you have to click Download the Plan and it gives you the whole 30 day rotation.

Thank you ladies, that sweet boy of mine never fails to put a smile on my face. I can't wait to be that fit, sexy mama! I want to look just as great as he makes me feel and always be a good role model for him.
