How can one figure out the water weight loss during the start of a diet?

I started around the 5th of this month at 305, I'm at 291 right now, that's down 14 lbs
If that's just fat loss, that would be too fast, but I'm guessing a large % of that is also water loss, how (or can I) figure that out?

Given 14 Lbs, that's 49,000 Calories in 2.5 weeks (or 2,800 Calories cut back per day)

Hi! I almost never count the first week because you are right it is water. Good job!

It's because of your starting weight and the shock to your system by going on a "diet". To have kept yourself at 305, you would have been eating a lot more calories, A LOT MORE. So you loose faster in the beginning because, 1) you're body isn't used to so little calories 2) less sodium 3) water weight.

Don't worry about the math. It all evens out later on.

there is no way unless you had a Hydrostatic Body Fat Test, before you started losing and now.
