does anyone have any good ideas on how to tighten the flab on the upper arms? I'm very proud of my total weight loss thus far of 27 Ibs. 8 Ibs since a mfp member. Only 10 Ibs that are glued seemingly forever on my body to go. Anyway my oldest daughter had her 19 b-day and my husband took a picture of her and I blowing out her candles and there it was, that awlful flab hanging down I about died when i saw the picture. Any thought that I had that I was starting to look good were GONE! any suggestions would be greatly appriciated. I walk 2.8 miles briskly everyday.

Try doing those things where u hold onto the chair and lower yourself in front of it using your arms to push back up. You know the move I mean right? lol Also I find a good pair of weights and just some basic moves with those will help tremendously :) Good luck!

Almost forgot, congratulations on your weight loss!!! :)

I have the same problem. I would love to wear sleeveless shirts. I also have the loose skin on my stomach. Any suggestions on how to tighten up the arms and stomach?

When the flabby areas are actually areas with loose skin, which is what it sounds like you have, all you can do it try to build muscle underneath, you can do this by working on your triceps. The chair excercise mentioned above is one such excercise. Use google.com to find more. The thing is, skin usually will snap back, it just takes time... BUT if you have lost a lot of fat from that area, it may never completely smooth out. I still have 40 lbs to lose and I am already seeing a bit of sagging skin there. Once you've reached your goal and given time for skin to snap back, if you still notice the sag and really want it fixed, there are surgical options avaliable.

I myself am not willing to carve myself up to look good... and I just tell myself, I'd rather have a big of a sag than be obses... and at risk for heart disease, cancers, diabetes etc etc etc

    good luck to you! :flowerforyou:

Any good sculpting/boot camp tape will help those areas. Pilates are great for the core because it hits all of your abdominal muscles. Rent a couple and see what you like, or use them for good ideas. A ball and a good resistance band are inexpensive ways to target those areas.

I call those arms Oprah arms. Or the delay wave. After you wave goodbye they keep on saying it for you.
