I try to not eat tons of carbs and sugar but IM ALWAYS HUNRGY.. so, I eat alot of protein---- eggs, chicken breast, tuna---- but I am ALAWAYS over my protein... i put in my lunch and I am already over and thats without dinner....

Is this bad? I feel like if I am going to eat something too much it should be protein and not carbs or calories or sugar.

Do i need to cut down on my protein????

No, there is absolutely nothing wrong with too much protein. If you go over your target of anything, it comes out in the red, including protein, fiber, potassium, and vitamins, which are all good for you to have at least the target number. Look at the protein number as a minimum, not a maximum.

Can't see your diary so its hard to say were adjustments can be made. Eat both together.
    Examp
    Oatmeal with blueberries, 2 eggs
Ezekeil Bread, lean meat and raw veggies
Lean meat cook veggies and red skin potatoe

You need to NOT cut the protien but reevaluate what you are eating how much and are you getting all the nutrion your body desires. If you are not you will be hungry.

Don't skimp on your good fats. Stay away from deep fried. Reach for the Avocado, Olive Oil and other healthy non-saturated fats.

Your body NEEDS these AND they help signal your brain that its full. Just be judicious and don't over indulge.

    What Nightowl said!

I take no notice of the red numbers on protein to be honest, concentrating on keeping the fats and carbs well in the green.

from other topics I have learned that MFP sets the protein targets quite low, some people are manually changing there goals to 40% protein 40% carb and 20% fat, which is giving them more accurate goals to stick to.

I tend to go over mine but keep my fat and carbs pretty low too.

    Thanks everyone...

I am pretty new to all this Better LIfestyle stuff. So I just want to make sure I am not doing more damage than help to my body. Its only my 3rd week of working out and eating right, so I am going to continue with the same amout of protein (now that I know its not bad) and throw in some more substancial stuff in at lunch like nuts and oats... then Ill reevaluate how I feel as I go along. Thanks for all the great tips.

I was wondering the same thing. All my numbers were in green except for protein and I thought protein was good for you and i eat a lot of fish and chicken which are both high in protein. So I would also like to thank everyone for clearing that up!
