HI all, I need some advice on the best way to strip off some weight/jiggle/pudge in a week. I have been doing really well with slow and steady but I have a big "thing" next week and because of the holidays/son's surgery/many excuses I haven't hit my goal. Think of this like the reveal on reality TV shows so I want to look as good as I possibly can (yes, I'm shallow!).
So, I'm not looking for this to be a long term solution (so please no criticisms), I actually won't even mind if I put a few lbs. back on after next Saturday but I'm thinking I have a couple of options to "take it up a notch" (I hate those phrases!).
1. go really low-carb for the next week, like South Beach week one. My concern about that is two-fold. One, I am a cranky b**** when I do low carb with headaches and other unpleasantness. My other concern is as soon as I have a cocktail and a carb at the party-boom there goes my stomach like my girdle exploded! (Yes, ladies, I will be wearing spanx)
2. drop all strength training for the next week (but for planks and arms-gotta look good in the sleeveless dress) and double up on cardio. I already spend the time at the gym but this would be changing how I use that time.
So learned friends, what do you all think? Any other suggestions? I'm open to most things (no colonics or cleanses though!) within reason. Thanks!
