Strength Training Question

Hey all!
I'm just coming back after some injuries and I am working on what works best for me for exercise. Maybe this is a sill question but is bodyweight training considered strength training? (IE Pushups, lunges, calf raises etc). I need to just make sure because I'm concerned about overdoing it with the strength (which is typically what I do). I'm really trying to take it slow and I'm doing low impact aerobics, pilates and yoga. Really I want to know if I need to add more weight training in. The pilates does have some weight training but is mostly bodyweight stuff. Let me know what you guys know! Thanks so much everyone!

Heck yes is it considered exercise.0 -
It sure is! Those are considered some of the best ways to train...using your own body weight. As far as I'm concerned, you can never go too overboard with strength training. What's great about it is that it's a long lasting burn, meaning you'll burn calories all day from strength training! Keep doing what you're doing, it sounds great!0
