Whats your favorite NUTELLA recipe / snack??0

I don't even buy the stuff anymore. It is too yummy and addictive. I like it on an English muffin, a bagel, crackers, a spoon, my finger. It's my personal devil.0
-
I just stick it on apples.
I did teach my students how to use it to make strawberry-banana crepes.0 -
I like it on english muffin! mmm tasty! But I did have 1 tbsp of it just off a spoon. I couldn't help myself!
I thank Tam for tellin me bout it! lol0 -
I put 1 tbsp either on a Thomas light multi-grain english muffin or spread it between 2 eggo light nutri-grain waffles and make a sandwich out of them.
SO good! It's my newest treat!! It helps curb my chocolate cravings too and get a good kind of fat into my diet. YUM YUM!0 -
IS NUTELLA SOME KIND OF PEANUT BUTTER? I HAVE NOT HEARD OF IT BEFORE.0

This 8 year old girl I babysit loves to dip sliced bananas into it.
I haven't tried it cuz I don't need something else to be addicted to!! lol
Nutella on toast is the best!!0 -
I got a recipe for hazelnut smooches from Giada on food network, that has a cup of that, and a cup of butter, and it is so moist and soooo yummy!! but oh sooo fattening!0

Nutella is in Italy what peanut butter is in America. They usually eat it here for breakfast on plain bread...and of course, on various sweets.
PS.....Nutella and PB mixed together is quite yummy, but a bomb of calories!0 -
spead it and a little regular natural peanut butter on wheat bread and enjoy!!! Packing PROTIEN!!!!!!0
-
I have actually never tried it, but I agree with Tam, I think it may be something that is good to help with chocolate cravings. Thank you for the tip!0
-
Nutella is AMAZING. Imagine chocolate that is spreadable, that tastes similar to godiva.
Its freaking awesome.0 -
I make whole wheat pancakes and put a TEASPOON on it. Only because of that calories. I friggen love the stuff. I usually won't eat it at all:ohwell:0
-
I haven't had it in so long because I can't practice self control around it! But I love plain old French baguette SLATHERED in Nutella....mmmmmmmm0
-
My vote goes to Apples!
I picked some up on my way back to Afghanistan for the days that the chow hall food sucked. In Dubai, they have something called Crumpy Duo.
The stuff was half hazelnut spread and half banana cream! HOLY HELL what a combination!
I could of lived off the stuff for the entire deployment!0 -

I think it can help with LOTS of food cravings!0 -
I LOVE it on plain old untoasted white bread (yeah I know... white bread... but it is the best with Nutella)! But I dont keep any in the house except maybe once a year because I will eat it ALL!!0
-
So, since they stopped making (or dont make it in the USA) Crumpy Duo.
What about Nutella and a Banana Cream Cheese Frosting on toast?
Yes... I am forgetting that this is a dieting site! ~laughing~0 -

OMG now I want to go to the store and buy some of both
Have never tried the Nutella... when I get back to regular foods I will have to try that :flowerforyou:0 -
it's really good in coffee too!:drinker:0
-
just a suggestion that is yummy:
ryvita crackers (plain) x 2
couple of spoons of nutella
crush the ryvita up well and mix with the nutella then take the mixture roll into small balls, place onto plate/tray and put into fridge until solid...eat at will!!!!
vary to taste & amount required... they help take the edge off the hunger & crub those sweet cravings...enjoy!

1 Tbsp of Nutella is 80 calories and 5 g of fat.
The reason I started eating some, along with PB, us because I was finding I was cutting my fats out WAY too much. And the fact of the matter is, it isn't fat that makes you fat but how much food you are consuming all together. Yes, not eating too much fat is important, but you do need to make sure to eat enough. They are called "essental fats" for a reason!!
I have almonds and cashews around too but I figure if I am having an english muffin that has 8 g of fiber (The Thomas Light Multi-Grain)....with a tbsp of the nutella....it's a decent breakfast or snack and curbs my chocolate craving. I am telling you, the warm, toasted english muffin with the nutella! (it starts to melt)...It is SO good!0 -
I don't know about this.... I do NOT find Nutella to be satisfying AT ALL. Now, I can take a tablespoon of crunchy peanut butter, and chew on that for awhile, or put that on toast and that will satisfy me. But I do not think I will EVER be able to stop with only one spoon of Nutella. In fact, I might as well use the big serving spoon to save myself some time..................... After that I may as well take that darn serving spoon and slather it all over my belly, because when I finish the jar, that's where it's going to be!
It is THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT good :grumble:0 -

to funny. I will have to look this stuff up.0 -
Nutella is a chocolate hazelnut spread. Someone in this thread likened it to creamy Godiva, and they were not far off. European chocolatiers use lots more hazelnuts than chocolatiers here in the states. So, if you've enjoyed a box of Godiva, you've had at least one creamy chocolate with hazelnut filling. So, this is in a jar like peanut butter, but is soooooooooooo decadent, but really good for you too.0
